In spring 2006, a group of paintballers who had never met before answered a forum event

and hit the field together for the first time and have played together ever since. By summer of 2006, they had decided that it was time to take action against a common attitude which has no place in this great sport, Paintball. All had experienced the downside of Ego's and bad attitudes. Although they hadn't been swayed from enjoying the sport, they saw how it had affected countless others and watched hundreds over the years being bullied away from paintball after one experience. They decided to form a group dedicated to the promotion of fun and respect on the field and further decided to make efforts in bringing "NOOBS" into paintball. Gender, age and race were to be unimportant and to this day remain. They began with a forum of thier own, posted private EVENT days on other forums and B.B.S's and brought them in. Due to the diversity of this group, in it's members and activities, they chose the name WAK'D. Fitting.

Currently, WAK'D has over 80 active members in Southern Ontario, ranging from the age of

8 to 46, approx. 300 within North America, and is growing rapidly. Involved in speedball,

tournaments, charity events, Safety and orientation clinics for adults and minors, and as always, Noobie events and bushball, WAK'D continues to re manifest itself and become more and more diversly involved in many aspects of the sport. As this site shows, WAK'D is far from being only a group of rec-ballers looking for NOOBS as it was in the beginning. From Discounted paintball to tech resources to new and unimagined experiences, WAK'D will continue to grow. WAK'D paintball is a group with the goal of growth in the sport in both volume of participants and safe and respectfull practise on and off the fields we all play, Sportsmanship and Respect are always expected as a member of WAK'D. These goals have created a large database, spreading into the U.S., of both ballers and suppliers and field owner/ operators, allowing us to make available to our members great fun at great prices, from gear discounts to field discounts.

Be it Bush/ Scenario ball or Speedball, WAK'D is there if it's PAINTBALL!!
